Final two pandemic-delayed BTO projects completed: HDB
Minister for National Development Desmond Lee has recently released the finalization of the last two pandemic-delayed projects from HDB, according to a Jan 20 launch.
In 2024, HDB completed a sum of 22 housing projects, 17 of which were delayed by the pandemic. With the exemption of one that was postponed due to non-pandemic reasons, the remaining 4 home plans were completed in a timely manner.
The final block, which was put off by six months from its initial PCD, was accomplished in mid-January.
At the moment, 110 HDB home projects are under construction, up from 95 a year ago due to the increase in BTO supply in recent years. HDB says it is on track to complete around 17,000 condos all around 27 projects in 2025.
As at Jan 15, 657 houses or 59% of 1,109 lined up units have gotten their keys.
Positioned along New Punggol Roadway, Punggol Point Cove (Phase 2) consists of 1,179 units of two-room flexi, 3-, four- and five-room apartments throughout six household blocks. Following pandemic hold-ups, the project’s last block was finished twelve month from its initial Probable Completion Date (PCD) at an earlier time this month.
The remaining projects had waiting times of up to five years. In general, over 18,000 apartments were finished in 2024, claims HDB.
The 22 housing projects consisted of 2 Shorter Waiting Time (SWT) ventures, that were completed in just a waiting duration of a lot less than 3 years. The SWT work, Parc Glen at Tengah and Grove Spring at Yishun, made up an overall of 1,995 condos.
HDB is assumed to alert the waiting flat owners of their key collection date soon, following the completion of the last blocks within both ventures this month.
Situated around Serangoon Roadway, Lavender Street and Boon Kheng Road, Kempas Residences BTO project has 583 units of two-room flexi, three-, four-room flats throughout four residential blocks.
As at Jan 15, 37 houses or about 7% of 555 booked units have collected their keys.
Flat proprietors of Punggol Point Cove (Phase 2) have actually been getting the keys to their brand-new home ever since November 2024, whilst key collection for Kempas Residence started in mid-January this year.
According to HDB, the finalization of Punggol Point Cove (Stage 2) notes the conclusion of all apartments in the Punggol Point District. This includes Punggol Point Cove (Stage 1), Punggol Point Woods and Punggol Point Crown BTO projects, that were completed in 2024.
Both Build-to-Order (BTO) jobs, Punggol Point Cove (Phase 2) and Kempas Residences, note the conclusion of HDB’s pandemic-delayed property ventures. As a whole, the 92 plans have delivered over 75,800 brand-new condos to Singaporeans over the last 5 years.
