Habyt launches new flexible living space in Tanjong Pagar
Locals of Kada at Maxwell will enjoy endless and complimentary access to the property’s health and wellness features, such as the performance health club, cold plunge, infrared saunas, hot tubs and foot bathrooms.
Habyt has launched a new accomodation space at 5 Kadayanallur Street in Tanjong Pagar. The 18-room Kada at Maxwell is the front runner place for the operator’s Habyt Flex approach, that presents a strategic broadening of the firm’s product offerings past extensive co-living.
The site was granted to Bethesda Medical, which submitted a per month rental proposal of $103,000, the third-highest bid cost after Wan Dormitory ($160,000) and The Working Capitol ($108,240).
In August, Habyt Asia Pacific CEO Jonathan Wong indicated that the company was planning to include more short-term living options to its local listing. The first properties under the Habyt Flex idea are the 39-room Habyt Novena and the 27-room Habyt Kallang, both started in August. Other properties under the Habyt Flex concept involve Habyt Cantonment and Owen House by Habyt.
A public tender to lease the property, now taken care of by the Singapore Land Authority (SLA), was released in September 2023. The tender was evaluated based on the bid price and the quality of the proposed idea, and SLA encouraged bidders to consider inspired way of living concepts.
“By blending contemporary conveniences with the ageless charm of a heritage building, we’re offering guests an unique lifestyle experience that exceeds typical holiday accommodation,” adds Wong.
Kada at Maxwell are going to supply a series of openings, including en suite studios and 2- to three-bedroom units. Each unit has a completely installed kitchen space. Visitors can book rooms on a nightly or weekly basis, with a 12-month choice even readily available.
SLA cited Bethesda’s strong concentrate on area building and connecting people with businesses as what gave its approach the succeeding edge. The first level will feature 10 F&B offerings, whilst the second floor will house a gym by Limitless, a wellness facility in partnership with Shiruki Studio, and a co-working room. Habyt’s Kada at Maxwell is on the 3rd floor.
The flexible living space is located within a preserved 1920s colonial building. The three-storey building, created by the architectural firm Swan & Maclaren, was one of the oldest modernist buildings in Singapore. It was constructed to house the St Andrew’s Mission Hospital for Women and Children.
Wong says Habyt Kada at Maxwell presents the company’s dedication to redefining flexible living in Singapore and notes its shift towards the upcoming phase of growth for Habyt Asia Pacific. Room rates at Kada at Maxwell is going to start at $180 per night.
